How do you prove that an ARR project contributes to biodiversity? You measure it. 🧐

Biodiversity monitoring at the Forestal Río Aquidabán project in Paraguay documents vulnerable species — anteaters, tapirs, capuchin monkeys and the endangered marsh seedeater — and informs adaptive forest management. Integrating camera traps, acoustic sensors, remote sensing and AI, the project guides habitat measures (e.g., leaving standing deadwood) to strengthen biodiversity while supporting long‑term carbon removals.

How big was your climate footprint this year?

How big was your climate footprint this year?

Average EU footprints are ~7.1 t CO₂e; intercontinental flights add 2–4 t, so some emissions remain unavoidable. Global Woods’ Forestal Río Aquidabán offers iCR-certified, fully additional, nature-based forest carbon removals with blockchain-backed traceability and real-time verification, enabling transparent CO₂ removals that support climate goals, biodiversity and local communities.

Who benefits when you buy CarbonRemovals from our project Forestal Río Aquidabán?

Meet Gilberto and Zulma, our implementing partners from Concepción, Paraguay. Together with their three-generation family and 25 employees, they run a farm of 2,000 cows, but with a different approach than what’s typical in the region.  🐄🌳With their Silvopastoral Agroforestry approach, Gilberto and Zulma are pioneers in the region, exploring the benefits of a more […]

On the Road Through Paraguay: Trust, Conservation, and the Landscape That Shapes It All

Crossing Paraguay means embracing both adventure and patience. Each region revealed its own distinct character, shaped by climate, people, and landscape. 🤝🏼We’re especially grateful for the warm welcome at Cepresol Neuland and deeply impressed by their work for nature conservation in the Chaco. 🐂 As the sun set, ranchers guided their herds through the corrals, […]

Sometimes the best thing you can do for nature is… to step back.

Our ARR project Forestal Río Aquidabán in Paraguay (https://lnkd.in/egDY4Tc3) combines forestry with extensive cattle grazing in a silvopastoral agroforestry system. Besides the active reforestation by planting of trees, some areas are excluded from grazing, allowing assisted natural regeneration based on the remaining seed bank, supporting nature in doing the work itself. This process is called […]

Snapshots from the on-site visit to our climate-forestry project Forestal Río Aquidabán in Paraguay

🤝 Partner exchange: Time on-site with our local project partners’ family to review recent management measures and align on next steps (then rounded it off by sharing a delicious meal together). 🌳 Field visit: We measured forest health and growth to track climate benefits. Stands look strong, and natural regeneration of native species is picking […]

🌳 Risks are everywhere. That’s why our carbon removal credits are backed by more than a buffer.

🌳 Risks are everywhere. That’s why our carbon removal credits are backed by more than a buffer.

Nature-based projects can be taken down in many different ways, be it by natural hazards, mismanagement, but also by possible effects of politics. When worse comes to worse, the Forestal Río Aquidabán project builds on a multi-layered risk management system that guarantees every buyer to hold up their climate commitment even in the case of […]

Honored to meet the Paraguayan Ambassador in Berlin

Honored to meet His Excellency, Paraguayan Ambassador Ramón Fernando Acosta Díaz, in Berlin.
