Project Information

We are currently completing a feasibility study for our Tierra Fértil biochar project in South America, with implementation envisaged for 2026. At full operation, the plant will:

  • Process 5’000 tonnes of agricultural and forest residues per year

  • Produce 1’000 tonnes of biochar, sequestering 2’240 tonnes of CO2 annually in a form stable for over 1’000 years

  • Enhance 300 ha of degraded farmland per year, boosting soil water retention by 20% and increasing crop yields by 12%

  • Support 10 permanent local jobs through biomass collection, plant operations, and logistics

Contributions to the UN SDGs

By combining significant carbon removal with soil revitalization and rural economic growth, Tierra Fertíl delivers measurable climate impact and tangible benefits for local communities – and directly advances key UN SDGs:
