Crossing Paraguay means embracing both adventure and patience. Each region revealed its own distinct character, shaped by climate, people, and landscape.
🤝🏼We’re especially grateful for the warm welcome at Cepresol Neuland and deeply impressed by their work for nature conservation in the Chaco.
🐂 As the sun set, ranchers guided their herds through the corrals, dust floating in the golden light. Scenes like this are a powerful reminder that traditional cattle farming remains at the heart of rural Paraguay, a world where experience, intuition, and handshake trust often matter more than any contract.
🕵🏻♂️From dense forests to open bushland, we went searching for native tree species and even sampled a few wild fruits along the way (🍊some sweet, some surprisingly acidic!). How wonderful and unique these ecosystems truly are.
💬 Reflections:
Paraguay has its own rhythm: a unique blend of hospitality, resilience, and handshake trust that you rarely find elsewhere. And it’s here, in this landscape, that Global Woods has had its boots on the ground for over 25 years – growing trees, partnerships, and impact.
✨Stay tuned for what’s next at Global Woods: there’s plenty down the road for 2026
